For the eighteen days she spent in the hospital, her life changed for the better. Angelica had been in dialysis for nearly a year until she finally was able to undergo the most important surgery of her entire life: a transplant of the kidney. The kidney she would receive from her mom. Angelica Hale along with her mother went through an organ transplantation procedure at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta as well as Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston on September 13th, 2013.
